Moomoo Canada - New Client Promotions - September

Duration of promotions

Two Promotions (“Program”) commence on September 10th, 2024, at 4:00AM ET and end on November 30th, 2024, at 23:59 PM ET (“Promotion Period”).

 

1. Register Reward

1.1 Who is eligible to participate?

Users who register a moomoo account for the first time after September 10, 2024, can receive a $2,000 commission rebate card, vaild for 60 days.

The commission rebate card is used to rebate commission charges when you trade on moomoo. Commission charges are collected first and then refunded in 5 days, so that you can enjoy preferential treatment.

  1. The commission rebate card is used to rebate commission charges when you trade on moomoo. Commission charges are collected first and then refunded in 5 days, so that you can enjoy preferential treatment.

  2. The applicable categories and applicable commission currencies of commission rebate cards are subject to the discount description.

  3. The commission rebate card can only take effect after it is activated. Applicable orders completed during the period when the card is valid will automatically receive the corresponding commission refund within 5 trading days until the card limit is exhausted.

  4. To ensure that you can get the commission rebate back seamlessly, you need to open a cash or margin account to activate the commission rebate card (in the event you do not already have one).

  5. The refundable order commission value is based on the statement information, and the refund currency is in CAD currency. The remaining currencies will be returned after being converted into CAD based on the corresponding closing exchange rate on the statement day.

  6. Multiple commission rebate cards can be supported for activation. When multiple commission rebate cards are activated, the amount of the commission rebate card that is about to expire will be used first. If the expiration dating is the same, the amount will be deducted from the commission rebate card with the largest balance first.

  7. The commission rebate card is anonymous, cannot be reported as lost, does not provide change, cannot be exchanged for cash, cannot be carried forward, and does not support transfers.

  8. To ensure normal use of cards and coupons, please ensure that your software has been updated to the latest version.

  9. Commission rebate cards are activity rewards, and moomoo has the right to revoke commission rebate cards obtained due to system vulnerabilities, illegal operations, and other abnormal participation.

  10. Moomoo Financial Canada Inc. (MFCI) has the final right to interpret the rules related to commission rebate cards to the extent permitted by law.

 

2. Deposit Reward

2.1 Who is eligible to participate?

Users who have never deposited* to Moomoo Canada accounts before September 10, 2024. Users are eligible for the rewards once the deposit is received in the Moomoo account within the promotional period.

 

*Eligible deposit refers to funds that are deposited into a Moomoo Self-directed Investing account through either Online Bill Payment, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Wire Transfer only.

 

2.2 Rewards for First-Time Deposit

When eligible users take the following actions, they will receive up to $200 in cash coupons.

2.3 Stock cash coupon

  1. Stock cash coupons are applicable to stock orders on moomoo securities accounts. After use, a cashback amount equal to the face value of the coupon will be credited to your account.

  2. Eligible users need to maintain a minimum eligible account value within 90 days after the deposit. The total asset value (cash, stocks and other assets included) is allowed to drop by 30% from the stated amount.

  3. Stock cash coupons will automatically take effect on orders that meet the coupon usage conditions within the validity period (Only applicable to buy-to-open orders). The coupon usage conditions include the threshold order amount, trade product type, applicable market, and other conditions. When the order that meets the coupon conditions is completed within the validity period of the coupon, a cashback amount will be credited to your account.

  4. To ensure access to cashback amount, you need to open a cash or margin account to use coupons.

  5. The cashback amount upon a successful stock cash coupon usage will be credited your account three trading days after the order is settled.

  6. Only one stock cash coupon can be used for an order, and commission rebate cards or coupons can be used at the same time.

  7. If there are multiple coupons to be used, the one that first expires will be used by default; if the coupons are of the same validity, the coupon with a greater denomination will be used by default.

  8. To ensure a smooth usage experience, please make sure that you are using an up-to-date version of the mobile App.

  9. Stock cash coupons are not registered, irrecoverable once lost, and cannot be gifted, or used repetitively.

  10. Stock cash coupons are event rewards and moomoo reserves the right to reclaim stock cash coupons acquired via inappropriate means such as exploiting system vulnerabilities, hacking, and false trading.

  11. Moomoo reserves the discretion to interpret usage rules regarding stock cash coupon within the scope of the law.

  1. How do I deposit funds at Moomoo Financial Canada Inc.? Can the amount of my deposit be accumulated to achieve the cash coupons?

Answer: The deposit procedures can be viewed here. The amount of your deposit can be cumulative. Please ensure that you deposit enough to meet the requirement within the campaign period.

 

  1. How do I get my rewards after the successful register or deposit? And when do I get them?

Answer: You can go to the moomoo app and tap - [Me] - [My Rewards] to check your rewards. Rewards will automatically be issued to your moomoo account within 2 business days. Commission rebate cards will be issued to your account. Please claim your cash voucher promptly to avoid expiration; it may take a few business days to reissue your cash voucher should it expire.

 

 

  1. I initiated my deposit during the Promotional Period, but it did not complete until the promotion ended. What do I do?

Answer: Please reach out to our customer service team and they will help apply the offer based on when the deposit was initiated.

 

  1. If I open RRSP, TFSA, cash and margin accounts, do I need to deposit for each account individually?

Answer: No. Whatever you deposit, the requirements for getting cash coupons are calculated based on the total amount across all accounts based on the applicable promotion.

 

  1. If I want to use the trading functions, what documents are needed? Are there any account opening restrictions?

Answer: A Canadian residential address (excluding Northwest Territories and Nunavut), phone number, and Social Insurance Number (SIN no.).

 

  1. What types of accounts can I open on Moomoo Financial Canada Inc.?

Answer: You can open RRSP, TSFA, cash, and margin accounts at present.

 

  1. What kinds of investments can I trade at Moomoo?

Answer: Moomoo is a self-directed trading platform. You can trade in the U.S. Market (stocks, ETFs, and options) and in the Canadian market (stocks and ETFs).

 

  1. After I submit the application, how many days are needed for account opening approval?

Answer: Documents will be reviewed after submission. If no further actions are needed, the trading account will be opened within 2 business days.
