After exploring ETFs and using Moomoo’s trading tools, I’ve come up with ways to manage the ever-changing market landscape. My approach focuses on spreading investments across various sectors and regions, reducing risk, and tapping into global growth opportunities.
For example, I hold positions in broad-market ETFs like $SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$ and sector-specific funds that offer long-term value. During market downturns, I accumulate more shares at lower prices,...

Low cost ETF is the way to go! Sometimes the most simple and boring way is the best
If u refer to my moofolio, u can see I allocated quite a large % of it in $SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$ alongside $Advisorshares Trust Pure Us Cannabis Etf (MSOS.US)$ which had a whopping 470% gains!
Ranking of gains:
①ETFs
②AI boom with Nvidia selling the golden shovel
③Meme stocks

Warran Buffet once said that S&P 500 index fund is the best investment to own for most people. He also said that after he dies, 90% of his wife's inheritance will go into the low cost S&P 500 index fund.
Let's face it - stock picking requires a lot of time and skills (and some lucks of course) Hence, ETF has become an increasingly popular investment option with its various benefits such as diversification, self adjusting and low cost etc.

My ETF holdings are mainly the leveraged ETFs which have higher risk profile compared to other type of ETFs. However, my problem with my ETF holding is their lackluster performance. Luckily though they are only a small position of my overall portfolio and I am not looking at profit near term.
That being said, if you google about leveraged ETFs, you will see the red flag as below immediately.
Leveraged ETFs decay due to the compounding effect of daily returns, volatility...

Hello Mooers!
In today's discussion, I would like to share with you a few groups of ETFs that are either on my watchlist and/or portfolio and, at the same time, would like to hear from your comments and opinions.
In my previous post on 11 approved bitcoin ( $Bitcoin (BTC.CC)$ ) ETFs that will start trading on January 11, 2024, 90% voted that they will definitely trade these bitcoin ETFs. The survey...

why buy etf?
easiest way to own a basket of shares at low cost.
good for new investors or investors with no time to track their investment.
I started with $LION-PHILLIP S-REIT (CLR.SG)$ . sreits is known for good dividend. with time and knowledge, I study its holding and pick up the strongest stocks to hold individually.
next up $Lion-OCBC Sec HSTECH S$ (HST.SG)$ which I trade almost daily, a basket of china/hk tech stocks. no ability to hold on my own.
for us stocks I started with $ProShares UltraPro QQQ ETF (TQQQ.US)$ , ...

🎢 Market Mayhem Alert! 🚨 September kicks off with a bang, but not the good kind. The $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ just dropped over 2%, hitting its lowest point since August 14, while the $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ lost 1.5%, slipping under 40k. And that’s not all— the $PHLX Semiconductor Index (.SOX.US)$ crashed by a whopping 7.8%! The “fear gauge” VIX shot up by more than 40%, inching close to 22.

After a long research, I came up with these ETFs that I would invest in for a long run.
The ETFs are $SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF (SPLG.US)$, $VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH.US)$, $Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD.US)$, and $Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP.US)$. The no-brainer strategy will be 25% for each etf allocation in this year.
Rebalancing will be considered for 6 or 12 months. SPLG will be the core. SMH and XLP will be the hero for the economic cycle, bullish or b...

I started investing 3 years ago as I feel that it is one of the easiest way to preserve and grow wealth. So I invested in ETF as I do not know which specific companies to invest in. My strategy is invest in low cost index ETF like SPY consistently and just hold. I believe that it will yield good returns in the long run!

I am new to trading and investing. After doing some research, I am going to go with SCHD $Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD.US)$ and SCHG $Schwab Strategic Tr Us Large-Cap Growth Etf (SCHG.US)$ 50/50. My goal is to retire in about 15 years, so I'll be dropping in money in these 2 etfs till then. Maybe some satellite etfs or single dividend stocks will be added, but I don't know how overlapping will affect what I have now. I am still young, so I will hopefully have enough time to g...
