During non-trading days, I would use some time to do research and analyse stocks as this could help me find ideal investment opportunities. Stock research is useful as it would enable me to assess a company to decide whether it is worth adding or holding to my long term stock portfolio. Online resources would be convenient as most companies' websites now feature an investor information section with financial statements, annual reports, press releases and answers to frequently asked questions. Gathering my stock research materials like financial statements, company announcements and news as well as analyst reports would help me to review the company's financials. It is practical and effective to narrow down to what to look out for. Being a long term investor favouring the value investing approach, I would zero into the company's sales, net income, EPS, P/E, ROA and ROE ratios. Doing so would allow me to be familiarised with the financial health of the company. Besides these financial metrics, I would attempt to find out more on whether the company has sustainable competitive advantages, good management team, and understand the overall industry trends. It would be important to put the research into context, to see how the company fits into the bigger picture by comparing the financial numbers and key metrics to industry averages and other companies in the same industry. By doing sufficient research and analysing stocks, I would be able to identify stocks trading at a discount to their intrinsic value, and therefore more likely to gain reasonable returns in the long term. The more I know about a stock's value, the more I could make informed decisions on investing.

Time is one of those things, which once gone cannot be regained back.
Some of the random things, I would do on a non-trading day:
Networking
Connect with people of my interest and field on LinkedIn. This will help me learn new developments and will open doors to new opportunities.
Reading
The more I read, the more I learn. I enjoy reading something which really fascinates me.
Study MooMoo Courses - Learning is effortless on @moomoo Courses. Let’s trade smarter!
Learn a New Language
I use Duolingo $Duolingo (DUOL.US)$ and some other websites that provides an opportunity to learn any foreign language.
Declutter
I like to organize my place, think about my long term goals, learning some basic things that can add value to my life in personal growth.
Technology Advancement
I am always keen to learn something about technology and explore myself in many dimensions.
Gardening
I would love to grow more plants and nourish them ( it actually makes me very happy ).
Level up my Cooking Skills
Cook new dishes and put a get together with some close friends and just chill while exploring the other side of me which I didn't notice while I was busy.
Meditate
Practice meditation. It will increase my focus.
Learning from Seniors
Talking with my grandparents or elderly relatives. They will give me years of experiences in just minutes.
As the saying goes ~
An inch of time is an inch of gold but you can't buy that inch of time with an inch of gold.
( Time = Money, but Money does Not = time ).

If u did ask how to spend after a long week of trading most of us would probably choose either to rest or read up on stocks
For me I will spend time bonding with my family after all the effort we put for trade our end motive is the same for financial freedom, but remember what we truly want from financial freedom is to spend more with family and giving better for our future generations.
Until now how many agree on what I’ve shared ? Greatly appreciate if you could leave a like 👍🏻
I did like to share with Mooers about using free time not only do we rest, read up on stocks , news , information from webs etc… but when we are on the move on daily routines. Do keep our eyes on the look out about things happening around us.
Let me quote an example, since last year we all faced pandemic on Covid what’s happening around us that could bring in 💵 flow, we can see people start to sell mask, sanitizers, N95 mask etc..
And also during that time some medical stock starts to come alive. What I’m trying to say is it’s all domino effect one comes after the other.
Planes are force to lock down, people can’t travel freely from countries to countries. So all those I view as opportunities for making money.
Banks also due to these, people are starting to withdraw out cash flow for a living.
So point is all these are investments we can get our hands on.
So let’s conclude despite saying so much,
Hmm 🤔 let me put it in jus 4 words
Awareness
Percieve
Consciousness
Awakening

non trading days are tough to go by. especially over 5 days of scrolling and planning and sorting the numbers, i seemingly go into a mini cold turkey. hence i had to play some quizzes here, do some courses or read so moo humor. if profitable that week, some will go into crypto trading too since it is 24/7! dont think i ever took a break! the break comes in only when i have earned enough which i was far from it! continue and persevere, no break, no Kit Kat! $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ $Moderna (MRNA.US)$ save meeeeee!!!

Non trading days are no different compare to any other days. As I believe most of us are not a full time trader, thus we have own daily routine activities like,
- going to work
- doing housework for housewives
- exercise after work/ or during our free time
- spending time with family
But beside all these, I encourage new traders to spend a few hours of their time to review their portfolio or trades done over the week.
Keep a trading journal may help u to improve trading or realise your mistakes.
The journal record may include the reason for u to put on a trade.
> Is it due to FOMO?
> following the tip from someone?
> do u avg down on a loosing trade?
> trading better in pre/intrady/post market?
Your observations on the movement/trend/TA/pattern on the various stocks.
> does stock that squeeze usually die off quickly?
> when does a stock do well using TA, when it volatile or consolidating?
> what can a catalyst do to a stock?
> do u trade well in Big cap or small cap stocks?
> do day scalp or swing trade suit u?
I think during non trading day is the best time for u to reflect/review your trading strategy, portfolio & do your next week trading plan.
Lastly, my advice to new traders,
- trading is not as easy of a press "BUY" or "SELL" button.
- don't follow tips, do your DD before trading. If u insist, do in small size.
- learn what is Risk Management .
- learn what is trading psychology.
- better not to start off with day scalping.
- start with stock with less volatility, Big cap stocks.
- doing swing trade for practice with small size.
etc....
Guess most people learn it the hard way, blowing their account in a few weeks or months. Trading is a mental game that make u realise the weakness of your mind. Hope you overcome it & become stronger, both in trading & daily life.
