I’m only one year into my investment journey, but the lessons have been coming hard and fast. Maybe after a few more years of experience, I’ll dish some different tips, but if I had anything to tell the me of a year ago, it’d be three simple words: take…it…slow. Why?

This post is only about the mindset not how to pick the right stock, value investing etc.For me the most important thing in trading is having the right mindset.
- Know your risk
If you buy a risky stock be prepared for big winnings but also more important for big loses. I have friend who called me at night who said that he can’t handle it anymore because his portfolio is -30% down and sold everything..... I saw it in the forum here...

Using credit cards to buy essentials has become somewhat commonplace. But even if an ever-increasing number of consumers are willing to pay double-digit interest rates on gasoline, groceries, and a host of other items that are gone long before the bill is paid in full, it's not wise financial advice to do so. Credit card interest rates make the price of the charged items a great deal more expensive. In some cases, using credit can also mean you'll spen...

$Alphabet-A (GOOGL.US)$ $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ $ts $Netflix (NFLX.US)$ An important step to consider when trying to get ahead financially is budgeting. After all, how can you know where your money is going if you don't budget? How can you set spending and saving goals if you don't know where your money is going? You need to set up a budget whether you make thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

If you don’t learn to manage your money, then other people will find ways to mismanage it for you. Some of these people may be ill-intentioned, like unscrupulous, commission-based financial planners. Others may be well-meaning but may not know what they’re doing, like Grandma Betty, who really wants you to own your own house even though you can only afford one by taking on a risky adjustable-rate mortgage.

Your financial future depends on what is going on right now. People spend countless hours watching TV or scrolling through their social media feeds, but setting aside two hours a week for their finances is out of the question. You need to know where you are going. Make spending some time planning your finances a priority.

$AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$ $GameStop (GME.US)$ In the late 20s, I was making a great salary, aggressively saving, living frugally, but for investing was risk averse, by nature. I did not want to lose money I had earned and saved. I still don't.

$Crypto ETFs (LIST2595.US)$ I have a confession to make. Even after all the analyses and strategies I have created, I allocate most of my investments to the S&P500 while keeping some part of it for the moonshots. I have told the exact same thing to everyone who has asked me personally for investment advice.

It may sound simple, but many people struggle with this first rule. Make sure you know what your job is worth in the marketplace, by conducting an evaluation of your skills, productivity, job tasks, contribution to the company, and the going rate, both inside and outside the company, for what you do. Being underpaid even by $1,000 a year can have a significant cumulative effect over the course of your working life.
