On June 13, U.S. equities tumbled on a black Monday, with S&P 500 hitting the lowest level since March 2021.

According to the commonly used definition, the benchmark S&P 500 index has fallen more than 20% from its most recent high in 2022 to confirm a bear market began. Now, we know the bear comes for sure.
