short answer is No.
The rent component of CPI is revised every 6 months. Furthermore, OER occupies approximately 75% of the housing component in CPI. i.e. 23% of the total CPI weight.
OER is based on owner response surveys.. typically lagging the case shiller index anywhere from 12 to 18 months. Hence I believe the pivot would only come around mid or 3Q23.

Did u feel the rent falling? Are we close to the peak inflation & how to prepare for it?
The Zillow Observed Rent Index (ZORI) measures changes in asking rents over time, controlling for changes in the quality of the available rental stock in ways that other measures of rental prices cannot.
The chart shows a decline in the observed rent since April this year. However the CPI index for housing continue to rise from March to July this year. Personally I don't feel the rent falling and rent can b...

Home sellers are slashing their asking prices at a record clip as surging mortgage rates drive a downturn in the US housing market, according to a recent report from real estate firm Redfin.
About 7.9% of home listings reported price drops during the four-week period ending Oct. 9, according to a rolling average compiled by Redfin. That figure marked a record high and a significant uptick compared to the same period last year, when ...

For the last 40 years, we've had a systematic decline of inflation and interest rates. This is partly due to increased globalization, cheap labor, a "peace dividend", and cheap energy. As a result, markets have steadily trended up, and while there were crashes like the dot com or the 08 GFC, eventually the Fed was always able to step in to prop up assets since inflation was low.

Hello, good day traders! 👋🤙
I'm looking for a potential sell 📉setup for $NASDAQ 100 Index (.NDX.US)$ , with both fundamentals and technicals to back up this analysis.
📰Fundamentally, the US CPI and PPI readings were better than predicted. The preliminary UoM Consumer Sentiment was also higher than anticipated. Building permits were also higher than projected, indicating that banks are eager to lend money, signaling that the economy is improving. However, bad news from major f...
