I invested in SPY ETF. I understand this ETF tracks stocks in the S&P 500. I have lost $100s investing in SPY. I'm hoping I might cover my losses if the stock market eventually recovers back to pre covid health

I probably will not be able to trade at all tomorrow due to travel but I look forward to the next trade.

Investing in the SPY provides exposure to over 98% of the market capitalization of the US stock market. It offers diversification and will generally track the movements of the overall US stock market. If you are buying the SPY you are bullish on the overall market.
