In my investing experience ( in the stock market since 2021 ), having a shareholders mindset hurt my portfolio. my portfolio would look a lot better if I had sold when I started losing money instead of keeping buying.
If I had waited 2 years, then invested in AMC, my portfolio would look more impressive. Having a shareholders mindset at the wrong time was how I started my investing journey.
Here is not having a shareholders mindset.

I like to take cue from the top 10 holdings by Berkshire Hathaway. This company focus on finding companies that had a value exceeding their market prices, of which I perceived as a true shareholder mindset.
Coca-Cola $Coca-Cola(KO.US)$ was one of the most valued stocks, and I decided to try following their Investing Philosophy, keeping it with long-term investment in mind.

Based on shareholder mindset, I summarise 4 types of traders:
1. Day traders
Most common one is buy the share based on price (not the company fundamental). Their aim is to take profit at the shortest possible time. They are not gambler because the trading is strategic and it involves deep planning. They kept a strict exit plan (based on stop loss %) and prepare emergency fund ie don't all in.

I don't consider myself a part- owner when I invest. I consider trading as just having a piece of paper saying that I own part of a company. To me, I buy shares so that I can make profits. I don't buy many shares and don't set to change the company or stick with it through thick and thin. I don't have any emotional attachment to a stock. I DYODD first, checking that the company has good profit or outlook, before I trade/ invest using TA.

Back in 2022 when I left my job (Celebrating 3 months of leaving toxic job environment without another job lined up, yet it is fine), I had 9 months of free and easy time to attend all AGM and get to review their buffet spread
However, I started my new role in March, ending my 9 month long hiatus. So, I won't be able to attend AGM to review them any more Recently, there have been a slew of AGM that is happening and I have to give them...

Hi, mooers!
Let's talk about shareholder mindset. It is a mindset that emphasizes the relevance of a company when making investment decisions. The technical definition of a shareholder is someone who owns shares of stock in a company. We wonder whether you consider yourself a shareholder when making investment decisions.

It is an exhilarating thought - that one can become a shareholder when one buys a company's shares. At least, that was how I felt when I bought my first shares a long time ago, in a now-delisted company. The price was 60 cents a share and I bought a thousand shares for $600. I had become a shareholder!
But does being a shareholder mean that I have some control over the company's management? No, unless I am a substantial shareholder, like Warren Buff...

I invested in Apple company, not as a part-owner but as an Apple loyal customer. Apple is considered a good long-term investment due to its strong financial performance and diversified product portfolio, which includes iPhones, iPads, Macs, and wearables. With a large and loyal customer base, Apple is well-positioned to continue growing in the long term by introducing new products and services that meet the evolving needs of consumers, of course the company's strong brand recognition helps...
