multi leg is better to save time and manage better. commission also can be less with some brokers for the iron condor or butterflies
As someone new to options trading, I'm really interested in learning more about these strategies.
From what I understand, single-leg options trades involve buying or selling a single options contract, whereas multi-leg options trades involve combining multiple contracts to create a more complex trade. As a beginner, I think it would be best to start with single-leg trades to get a better understanding of how options work.

A covered call is about selling a call option against a long stock position. This strategy can generate income while limiting potential losses.
Here is an example of a covered call trade on stock XYZ, which is currently trading at $100 per share:
1. Buy 100 shares of stock XYZ for $10,000
2. Sell a call option with a strike price of $105 for $2.00
The premium received from selling the call option represents the maximum profit potential for this ...

When it comes to trading options, there are two main strategies that traders can use: single-leg and multi-leg. Both strategies have their pros and cons, so it's important to understand the differences between them in order to determine which one is right for you.
Single-Leg Options
A single-leg option is simply buying or selling one option contract at a time. This strategy is relatively simple and straightforward, making it a good option for beginners ...

$Tesla (TSLA.US)$ is not a stock. It's something far more demented and twisted than I think any of us can fathom.
These opened at 0.50. Ran up to 2.58. now back to 0.50
I'm sorry, why are we buying long dated options and just bleeding out premium?

$Tesla (TSLA.US)$ Call Volumes for this week are already insane. Is this the new squeeze stock after $Alphabet-A (GOOGL.US)$ $Alphabet-C (GOOG.US)$
LiaoGangzheng : How to update?
AngelBull : thanks for the update, it is really useful!
Regarding custom options strategy, here's my update which I believe is very important to encourage more multi-leg options trading:
As shown in the screenshot, when a multi-leg options transaction is made successfully, I go to the account menu to view my portfolio, I can't find my custom strategy as a single group, Instead the legs are grouped separately into different vertical spread groups.
Refer to screenshots.
Problem: the more custom or multi-leg options we buy, the more it will be hard to track when they are regrouped by the platform into different vertical spreads.
I have not tried iron condor or other more complex strategy, I believe iron condor may also be regrouped into separate vertical spreads by the system instead of all its legs into 1 iron condor group.
Expectation: There should be a Custom Strategy Group where all my legs (options and shares) ordered per transaction are grouped into 1 single group at my portfolio page. This way we can tell which custom strategy group to close if needed.
Hopefully it can be addressed soon.
thanks!
Lee Hock Sheng LiaoGangzheng : If you using android, go google play store. If IOS, go App Store to update the MooMoo apps.
Naturewalk : For Iron Condor, user should be able to freely select the individual strikes of the four legs. Can this be done?
Wall Street Farmer : how is the commission calculated? each leg individual calculation? That would not be competitive compare to Think or Swim platform.
