The Nasdaq sinks to kick off 2024: What's next for tech stocks?
It seems that the tech stocks failed to carry forward last year's brilliance to kick off 2024. Barclays downgraded Apple stocks Tuesday a Show More
It seems that the tech stocks failed to carry forward last year's brilliance to kick off 2024.

Barclays downgraded Apple stocks Tuesday and recommended investors to sell the stocks, stating that the latest survey indicates weak sales of the iPhone 15. This caused stocks to drop more than 4%.

In addition, chip stocks are also facing challenges. Semiconductor equipment manufacturer ASML revealed that the Dutch government has barred the shipment of certain tools to China. This news serves as a bait for sellers looking to take profits after huge gains in tech stocks. AMD fell more than 6%, ASML and Intel both dropped over 5%, and NVIDIA fell more than 3%. Notably, as of 2023, the Nasdaq has seen nine consecutive weeks of gains, marking the longest weekly streak since March 2019. And NVIDIA surged by an astonishing 239% in 2023.

🎙️ Discussion:
● What do you think will be the tone for tech stocks this year?
● How do you plan to navigate these market conditions?
