I began September of Q3 with a fully invested portfolio, which was a bit nerve-wracking considering September's reputation for market volatility. Unfortunately, the month started with significant losses, totaling about $60,000 within the first week. This was partly attributed to my technology-heavy portfolio, which was susceptible to fluctuations based on economic news and anticipated interest rate cuts.

As shown in the picture of portfolios, more than 80% of my holdings in my moomoo account currently are Funds, which is moomoo cash plus. In other words, I use moomoo not only for trading but also for parking capitals. Moomoo cash plus return is better than bank fix depo...

Hi Mooers!
Eversince the 4 week of September. I was practicing a lot on options. Especially becoming a seller of options.
So what made me changed for the better? Thougout the loss period, Instead of crying over what had I done wrong, I had decided to tell myself if I have options I would definately lose lesser and gain more.
So what I had done throughout the whole of August is to practice practice and practice with paper trade. Not in moomo...

Hey mooers! 🐮 This quarter was a wild ride for me, but overall I’m happy with my performance!
Strategy shifts: In Q3, I experienced a slight dip in August and September due to market volatility. My strategy was to offset these losses by steadily investing a predetermined amount each month. I view this as a long-term investment strategy for my retirement, so I’m not overly concerned about short-term fluctuations.

Started this account in late July. It was tough managing a business and monitoring the market at the same time.
Bought $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ during the yen carry trade sell down, it trampolined my account 600% really did help a lot to bring my small accout from 400 to 2.4k USD. Got lucky there, but you do need to be exposed to the risk in the first place for things to happen.
The hardest part was actually growing that 2.4 to 10k. Took a while and a lot of hedging, as my loss aversion was k...

StockNation : I lost about 60k when Nivida had that sell off after their earnings report in August. Still in shock! I regret not taking some profits after the May earnings report. I think when earnings from the Blackwell release are reported, I'll be glad I held on. Nerve-wracking as hell, though!
