If higher price = higher risk then $Berkshire Hathaway-A (BRK.A.US)$ is the world most riskier stock at USD450k a stock. Then penny stock is the world least risky asset. $EVERGRANDE (03333.HK)$ is now USD0.21 so is Berkshire 2.1million time riskier than Evergrande?
Hypothetically if a company have 1billion in cash with no debt and have only 1 share, it is crazy not to buy it for close to 1billion for that share. If you get it at 1million you basically can clos...

Investors want to buy low and sell high; that is how profits are made. From this perspective, a higher stock price may seem riskier as there is a higher chance for reversal. The real question though is whether the price is too expensive. To answer this, there are other factors to be considered like the financial reports, the future prospects (any catalyst for growth) and the price resistance and support levels. Only then can one determine the risk-rew...

From data provide by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, you can see that stock trading on margin for May 2021 hit an all-time high, continuing the consecutive record-breaking trend. That to me is extremely dangerous because the equities sector doesn’t rise indefinitely. At some point, you’d figure the bubble will pop, boding especially poorly for high-risk, high-reward stocks.
But if you still want to roll the dice, I can also appreciate that perspective. For one thing, the benchmark ...

$Upstart (UPST.US)$ Unlike most fintech, they're actually profitable and have been for more than a year now (profits are up 1,300% from last year in the first 3 quarters of 2021). They're also growing tremendously fast (more than 100% yoy in just the first 3 quarters of the year) and their list of partners is growing quickly. Best part? They're down about 60% from recent highs making their current price a pretty decent entry point

YES or NO. We must look at this question dialectically.
From a historical perspective, if company has solid fundamentals such as financial strengh, stable growth and etc, this company's stock with a higher price is not coming with a higher risk. As other mooer pointed out, BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY INC'S stock BRK/A is the most highest stock price of the world, it doesn't mean this stock with a higher price.

$AST SpaceMobile (ASTS.US)$ $Astra Space (ASTR.US)$ $Virgin Galactic (SPCE.US)$ High risk high reward would probably be something in the space (AST spec mobile, Astra space, Rocket Labs, Virgin Galactic etc) or genomics sectors I would think

$Tesla (TSLA.US)$ $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ I am almost done with my end of year stock shopping. I am looking for a couple more high risk and high reward plays. I have a well funded 401k and core portfolio compromised of ETFs and blue chips. I am specifically looking for a company carrying a good amount of risk that could blow up over the next year or two.
Any recommendations welcome.

Pierce Khoo : What do you think about other holding companies like MBH corporation or SPLP?
doctorpot1 OP Pierce Khoo : They are not on my watch list so I don't know much about them. For now, I'm investing my time on a few selected stocks (mainly beaten down China stock) so I can spend more time understanding, evaluating and tracking them and their external factors.
High Profit Low Loss : When valuing a company isn’t that cash flow of a company is an important metric to look out ?
Thank you!
doctorpot1 OP High Profit Low Loss : yes it is an important metric to evaluate and one common model is discounted free cash flow model. it is good to look at a company from many angels using many different relevant metrics and also compare it against competitors
