The biggest move to reopen Singapore's borders will be a clear boost to international travelling, paving the way for better connectivity to travel destinations. The opening up of the transatlantic travel market is the most important development for international air travel since the beginning of the global pandemic. The launch of the VTLs will also facilitate hub connectivity to other destinations in Asia. Shares of aviation and hospitality companies such as $SIA (C6L.SG)$, $SATS (S58.SG)$, $SIA Engineering (S59.SG)$, $ST Engineering (S63.SG)$, $Genting Sing (G13.SG)$ would stand to gain the most with the opening up of Singapore's borders as the city state shifts to the endemic phase of living with Covid-19. While deliberate efforts are made to open up borders, recurring concerns like renewed infections, varying rate of vaccinations and changing regulations imply that the path towards a swift recovery in travel and hospitality sectors may not be as smooth as anticipated.

Think many would have seen the long queue at SIA office at ION Orchard and also heard about SIA booking site crashing due to the onslaught of bookings and enquiries. Recovery stocks will do well (though it will be some time before it can go back to pre-pandemic level). Nevertheless, it is a good sign for better things to come as we transit to a new normal to live with COVID-19. Stocks which will benefit would include aviation sectors like $SIA (C6L.SG)$ $SIA Engineering (S59.SG)$ $SATS (S58.SG)$ and hospitality sectors $CDL HTrust (J85.SG)$ $FRASERS HOSPITALITY TRUST (ACV.SG)$ and many more 😊

This is the second time we are hopefully of a reopening of the economy. The first time was Jan 2021, where we saw rotation of investment into recovery stock (because of the vaccine). We all knew what happened nex….
Hope that this time with a high vaccination rate, we are truly on the road of recovery. $FTSE Singapore Straits Time Index (.STI.SG)$ would not be called by some “super terrible index”
For me, I would not rush to buy $SIA (C6L.SG)$ . I would wait and see if the travel will goes back to pre-covid days.

It’s is no secret that come 19th October 2021, there will be lots of anticipations and excitements because of Singapore government’s revised plans to ease travel curbs. Singapore is opening up its’ VTL (or vaccination travel lanes) to several countries globally. This decision of re opening Singapore to the international pathway is a good move because of several rewarding factors:
1) Aviation, tourism, hotels, food and beverage and fashion businesses will flourish.
2) Along with these increases in customers’ demands, more jobs will be created for the unemployed.
3) Medical health will also flourish other than treating the Covid 19 patients. Patients from other South East Asia countries will flock in to seek medical opinions and treatments as Singapore is a renown elite health care hub in this region.
The country’s economy will be more optimistic. In fact tourists companies reservations, and $SIA (C6L.SG)$ shares have soared higher over the last 48 hours.
The only worrisome consideration, is with the influx of tourists, will Covid 19 infections rates spread like wildfire once the borders’ restriction is opened? This is especially so, when Singapores’ community spread projects so negatively of late.
The bottom line is that MOH must have strict safety precautions and protocols in place, to ensure a seamless and flawless tourist industry in addition to a safe living environment for Singaporeans. This is an uphill task for PM Lee and his Cabinet Ministers to work towards a better economy for 🇸🇬.
Meanwhile, we can explore the potential possibilities in
$SIA (C6L.SG)$,
$SIA (C6L.SG)$, $SATS (S58.SG)$
$Marriott International (MAR.US)$
$Las Vegas Sands (LVS.US)$
$Genting Sing (G13.SG)$

$SIA (C6L.SG)$ Already mentioned so many times, it will be on upwards trajectory when border reopen. But please do not expect miracle. Afterall, SIA is not making profits yet. It is not yet in the clear blue skies but it is still in the tunnel with light on the other end. Customer restriction is still at 3k for its VTL arrangement . Crude oil is getting expensive. Still many factors to consider. My take is that current price level is slightly on the higher end, i more comfortable at the range of 5.25 to 5.4 Only my 2 cents worth.

Can Singapore find its form as a global aviation hub? This thought provoking question is in most of our minds since PM Lee HL's announcement of the government's decision on the newly revised list of VTL (vaccinated travel lanes) regulations last Saturday.
The answer is "YES", if the panel of health care experts and decision makers
from MOH, are able to exercise their options and safety policies wisely in a timely manner. Besides that, as a United front, we Singaporeans, should ensure and enhance our own safety measures by strict adherence to guidelines and laws of vaccinations, social distancing and the proper donning of masks protocols.
It has been a tough two years for the aviation business in Singapore, since the emergence of the Covid 19 pandemic. This time round will our little " Red Dot" prove it worth world wide? It is a challenging task but I feel that we can do it. The Road to Success comes with Perseverance, Fortitude and Humility.
$SIA (C6L.SG)$, the world's best aviation service, will once again fly high and will proudly showcase its promised journey of care and impeccable service to travellers worldwide.
Promising shares that we can focus on now are:
$SIA LTD R1 (1P2R.SG)$
$SIA (C6L.SG)$
$Las Vegas Sands (LVS.US)$
$SATS (S58.SG)$

$SIA (C6L.SG)$ Explosive move with such upper shadow in one day might not be good sign for trading, but the economy reopen will support the stock market in the long run.

It's a significant step as Singapore expanding the quarantine free travel lane arrangements to several countries. This is crucial in rebuilding the status as an international hub with global connectivity. Trust this will also boost tourism related activities $Genting Sing (G13.SG)$ $SIA (C6L.SG)$
Look forward to this transition phase. 😎
