I bought 10 shares of $Apple (AAPL.US)$ at $150 each, it fell to $120, causing me a 20% loss. I then bought 20 more shares at $120 each. The average cost of my shares became $130 each equating to an 8% loss which was a lot easier to recover and it was done in the first day of the price rebounce and by the time it got to my original purchase price of $150 a couple of days later, I was already up by $20 a share, giving me a healthy 15% return on m...

Well, the most obvious solution is to DCA. This solution only apply if the stock u bought is a good company. (This is why, always DYODD)
If u bought high on shitty company stocks, just take a deep breath & make ur resolve to sell it & buy in shares on stocks that won't fails in the long-term.
Here are some of my other methods in the below link.

U get the idea💡, apply the same method here.

Due to recklessness, I bought a few stocks at high and tried to average the cost down by buying more stocks when their prices went down but they dipped even further......
It was very demoralising and made me panic but I've learnt to ignore the negativity and keep calm a little.
Still holding on to them although it looks bleak. Perhaps when my other stocks have better profits, I'll consider letting them go.. $Coursera (COUR.US)$ $iQIYI (IQ.US)$
And glad to have sold some $Coupang (CPNG.US)$ f...

There has been 2 stock/ETF that I bought high and has remained low til now; $Alibaba (BABA.US)$ and $ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK.US)$ they are both -50% down now for almost a year already. To be honest, I still have high hopes on Alibaba but I cannot gamble adding more positions or DCA because it has been very unpredictable. I bought ARK Etf because of hype, last year everyone was hyping about it so I decided to add positions—probably one of the worst decisions I made. I still ke...

can’t help falling into this situation when you bought on overdrive. I would say one reason for each I should not buy on hindsight. $DocuSign (DOCU.US)$ lost about 50% due to no expansion product yet bought on the hype. $Palantir (PLTR.US)$ bought due to FOMO when everyone is taking a piece of the cake and hoping for short squeeze, $Zoom Video Communications (ZM.US)$ thinking another variant will hit us and stay longer at home and continue to double down, $Sea (SE.US)$ ...

I bought $Sea (SE.US)$ at its high point and ended up holding though have already made a huge loss. the value of the stock halved! continued holding all because I felt the intrinsic value of the stock hasn’t changed. Time will tell. but yes bought high, sadly.

I had bought $Apple (AAPL.US)$ at high. However, I am not going to panic sell. On the contrary, I will buy more. Apple is a good company, thus, I believe I will make capital gain at the end of the "day".

I’d just hold on to the stock if the price dips after buying it at a high price.Although with $Grab Holdings (GRAB.US)$ which was bought at 8 us dollars from day 1, and now is 3.3 us dollars, do I hold on to it?
