Singapore-based Leo KoGuan, who has invested US$3.5 billion (22 million shares) to be the 3rd-largest individual shareholder of Tesla said he views the electric carmaker more as a cutting-edge software company and believes its humanoid robot will be a force to be reckoned with.
Mr KoGuan said its robot – known as Tesla Bot or Optimus – is under-rated as it is still not quite yet a working prototype but stressed it could potentially replace human labour in the future. The demand is expected to be as high as10 to 20 billionunits.
"Just capturing 10 per cent to 20 per cent of the global labour market will be a humongous replacement by Tesla Bot," said the Indonesian-born American.
There are only5 Tesla Optimus prototypesnow, or early concept samples, performing simple tasks and walking steadily around the office. Can Tesla ramp up capacity and produce10-20 billion humanoids? Is it possible?
There are only 8 billions of humans in the world. This means that there will be 2.5 humanoids for every human. Do we want 20 billion humanoids totake over hundreds of millions or 1 billion of our jobs? Leaving these people jobless and struggling to survive.
What if some of thehumanoids go rogueand turn against humans. That's the risk of AI.
On the surface,10 to 20 billionhumanoids will be afat profitfor Tesla. But you need to dig deeper and consider thedangers. 1 billion people losing their jobs and the threat of humanoids gone rogue. Do you want that to happen?

OP
:
Do you think that the 20 billion humanoids are just doing tasks not done by humans? Impossible. At the start, the Tesla Bots will replace people doing menial jobs which can be automated. With 20 billion humanoids, they will replace more advanced jobs done by humans. Not just blue collar jobs, but also white collar jobs. With so many humanoids, of course many people are going to lose their jobs.

:
Someone is making baseless comments. 20 billion Tesla Bots. If they don't replace human labour, what do they do? Somebody is unable to analyse.

bullrider_21 OP : It's not possible for Tesla to build 10-20 billion humanoids. They only have 5 prototypes now.
bullrider_21 OP : 1 billion people will lose their jobs. You may be one of them.
