What is your dividend portfolio?

I bought $Gladstone Investment (GAIN.US)$ a few months ago, without even knowing what it is. And I got a 15% gain for now! It made me to think about changing my strategy on the dividend stocks or ETFs.

I found an article about it on Seeking Alpha, and it was recommended.

$Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD.US)$ $Vanguard High Dividend Yield ETF (VYM.US)$

But I know nothing about what a good portfolio is, so can anyone share some experience on how to choose a dividend portfolio?
