Stock rises for the respite of Trade-War. U.S. equity-index futures edged higher on Tuesday as European and Asian stocks rose amid a lull in trade-war headlines and simmering tension in Hong Kong.
The U.S. bars any new flights to or from Malaysia. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration downgraded Malaysia to a Category 2 nation on Monday, banning the country’s carriers from setting up new flights to anywhere between New York and San Francisco.
Hong Kong protests take over the business district. Protesters and police clashed across the city, including at universities and in the financial district. Police warn the city is on the brink of ‘total breakdown’.
Trade update: President Donald Trump’s speech to the New York Economic Club later today in which he may address the U.S-China relationship.
