Moomoo Community Standards

Futu community, a.k.a. moomoo, is an interactive community for users to share valuable educational information, views, and ideas about stocks and markets. Moomoo includes user profiles, moments, posts, stock reviews, comments, chats, live streaming, videos, courses and other subforums (“content”).

Although disagreement and debate about the securities and securities markets are generally encouraged, moomoo is committed to promoting an atmosphere of mutual respect in the community and has prohibited content that includes violence, abuse, threats, harassment, and intimidation. To help ensure the best experience of users, moomoo has developed Standards for acceptable content. The following rules highlight unacceptable behavior. Violations of the Standards may result, among things, the deletion of a user’s content or a permanent suspension of a user’s moomoo account.

The following behaviors are not permitted:

Users may not post content that threatens a person or a group of persons. Violations of this rule include, but are not limited to:

Content that threatens to kill or cause bodily harm;
Content of request for services to kill or cause bodily harm;
Content that uses words or other expressions to advocate violence;
Content about terrorism, terrorists and terrorist organizations;
Content that involves suicide and self-injury;
Content that involves personal attacks by headshot, nickname, domain name, post and other information carrier;
Content that humiliates, abuses, attacks or disrespects other users;
Content that harasses, threats, intimidates or adversely impacts other users;
Content that discriminates, abuses and attacks others for their positions including nation, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, age, geography, physical feature;
Harassment of other users, repeatedly sending same or similar contents to others by means of posts, comments, mentions and chat;
Content that mocks, misrepresents or abuses published ideas or analysis of other users.

Users may not promote criminal behavior and acts. We may report Content that appears to involves criminal acts to admissions of criminal activity may be shared with appropriate authorities. This includes but not limited to:

Content that is potentially malicious or that links to third-party websites to forge jump links, such as phishing websites, trojansTrojanhorses,virus and virus websites.

Users may not post political content. Violations of this rule include, but are not limited to:

Content that is used to voice complaints, grievances or disagreements with policies or is politically controversial;
Account headshot, username and personal information that is overtly political in nature.

Vulgar and pornographic content is strictly prohibited. Violations of this policy include, but are not limited to:

Content that includes explicit sexual acts or fetishes, as well as images of nude or semi-nude people;
Content that contains sexually suggestive gestures;
Content that constitutes or promotes inappropriate interaction with minors;
Content that contains links / posts with illegal content, erotica, pornography or nudity;
Content that is only layering of post, text walls, emoji walls, chart walls or ALL CAPS.

Users may not offer to sell or offer to trade contraband and buy anything on the moomoo community. Offers to sell-buy contraband may be reported to appropriate authorities. Contraband includes of this policy include,but are not limited to:

Explosives, firearms, ammunition or specific firearm accessories, including instructions for manufacturing explosives, firearms, ammunition, controlled firearm accessories, or other weapons, instructions for converting firearms into fully-automatic or pseudo-automatic firearms;
Cannabis products, including instructions to promote cannabis;
Tobacco products (including electronic cigarettes) or alcoholic beverages;
Drugs and other dangerous pharmaceuticaldrugs.

Users may not post prohibited content and misleading information.Misleading information and Prohibited content includes but not limited to:

Misleading: unsubstantiated information or news that haven’t been reported by mainstream media. Any news event posted should include a reliable source that corroborates it;
Fabrication: making up partial details to twist facts;
Discrepancy of pictures and text: misleading others through incorrect matching of pictures and text;
Overstatement: overstating facts to make others misunderstand when in description;
Information out of date: publishing news that has been solved and omitting its outcome;
Incomplete information: deliberately hiding partial facts to make others misunderstand;
Deceptive information: contents that are used to cheating other users out of property by making up facts or hiding the truth.

External links contains uncontrollable risk. To protect users’ interests, such contents are prohibited, which include but not limited to:

Ads that intended to avoid platform review by variation, homophonic words and so on;
Inviting users to open stock, futures and other accounts on other platforms through chat, comments, etc ;
Posting invitations to websites, emails, blogs, social media accounts, Messenger apps, crypto wallets, paid or free services, prize contests or any other platforms in the form of text, images, QR codes, off-site links within the community;
Content offering consulting services to users on third-party platforms;
Content offering offline paid seminars, salons, training and other activities;
Content that is fraudulent promotion, marketing information or ad in nature, including promotion references or links;
Posting articles and comments that contain fundraising information and similar contents, including but not limited to charity fundraising, crowd funding, begging, or solicitations with religious overtones.

Users may not share personal information on the community. Violations of this policy include, but are not limited to:

Content that mentions home address or physical location information;
Content that includes government-issued ID cards and social security or other national ID numbers;
Content that indicates contact information or email address;
Content that mentions bank account or credit card details;
Content that mentions biometric data or medical records;
Content that collects or stores other users’ personally identifiable information without permission, such as name, address, phone number, email, credit card information or any other information that could be used to track, identify, contact or impersonate other users.

Users must abide by the laws and regulations of the securities industry and refrain from posting content with the intention of personal gain. Violation of this standard includes, but is not limited to the following:

Content posted with an intent to move a stock;
Repeatedly posting of overly positive or overly negative comments about a stock without new substantive information;
Spreading false rumors about a stock;
Linking to websites that host content manipulate stocks;
Content that contains non-public information.

Users or display names may not be insulting or have vulgar meaning;
Users may not operate a moomoo community account on behalf of another user;
Users may not misrepresent their identity or impersonate another person;
Contents that includes website addresses, email addresses, contact information or links to offers from other securities trading platforms, are not allowed in the account name and personal information.

Uers may not infringe on any intellectual property rights, such as copyright and trademark;
Users may not use moomoo’s name, logo or trademark in a way that confuses people (Learn more about our copyright policy and trademark policy);
Users may not post content that is not their original work, or infringes the copyright of any third party;
Users may not, at any time, utilize content published or captured from a product which you do not have license to use;
Users may not, at any time, stream content which is considered protected by copyright or that does not adhere to the terms of fair use as defined herein.

Community managers review contents for violations through proactive discovery. Users may use the "Report" function in Moomoo to report suspected violations and users. Community managers may:

Issue warnings, remove content without notice, or—depending on the severity of the violation—suspend users either on a temporary or permanent basis;
When deemed necessary, report violation of the Community Rules to appropriate law enforcement or regulatory authorities.

The content published and views expressed by users are solely those of the users and do not represent the views of moomoo, Futu, or any of its affiliates or employees. Users are solely responsible for their content and bear all responsibility and liability for all disputes arising therefrom.
