Knowledge Is Everything
Hey new traders I'm going to let you in on a TIP. Some of these large percentage runners are EASY to find and here's how. This can be done on both the PC and Mobile version of moomoo.
First, go to Markets > Explore > Screener. Once you are there, click "Create New Screener". Put these settings into your screener:
Region - "United States"
Price - "less than $5 (Put 5 in the right spot and leave the left blank, it should look like this <=5)"
Change- "over 10% (Put 10 in the left spot and leave the right blank, it should look like this >=10.00%)
Volume- over 1mil (Put 1.00M in the left spot and leave the right blank, it will look like this >=1.00M)
That is your basic scanner settings. You can adjust the settings as you need to after you are comfortable with how it works. I adjust mine often if there are too many results. Name this low float runners, as that is what we will be looking for, and click save.
So now you will have several results to screen through. If it says 100 results, don't worry I'll show you how to scan through them to find the ones to watch within minutes.
Now click on your screener to see a list of results. Once you click on it, click on the stock that is at the top of the list. After that click the drop down arrow on quotes. Now the only thing we will look at, for now, is "Free Float" and that will be in the bottom left of the dropdown menu. We want to find any stock with a free float less than 40 mil ideally less than 25 mil. When you find one add it to a watch list and move on to the next one. Heres the quick part, All you need to do to go to the next stock on the list is swipe left on Mobile or click the down arrow on PC. Quickly swipe through the list and find stocks that match our free float. It will go by faster than you were able to read this. 😂
Once you have scanned through the results and have a watchlist, you can now watch these for continuation or spikes the following day/week. You can enter these positions if you see the continuation or spike. This is just how to find them, not how to play them.
This is a very basic screener, but for more screener presets and tutorials, please let me know what you think below. 👇
