The Stock Scalpers : Moomoo operates under the standard 3 day trades in a rolling 5 day period for accounts under 25k. Most brokerages operate the same way. There are exceptions with cash accounts some places
You don't have to be locked in a position, just make sure you have a day trade left if you're planning on making a day trade.
NewGuyOnTheBlock OP The Stock Scalpers : and (if you know, robinhood seems to have no restrictions?) and as far as moomoo goes if i buy at close one one and sell at open the next day is that a day trade (less than 24 hour period) or does close of market reset the day as far as moomoos concerned?
The Stock Scalpers NewGuyOnTheBlock OP : If you open and close a position in the same ticker within the hours of 0400-2000 on the SAME Day it is a day trade.
If you buy something at 1530 today and sell it tomorrow after open it is NOT a day trade, even though it is within 24 hours it is occurring over the course of two market days
NewGuyOnTheBlock OP The Stock Scalpers : Thank you
Fugnasty : also robinhood follows the same if you do 4 or more you get marked as a day trader. robinhood honestly sucks because you have the least market hours I literally pulled everything out of robinhood waiting for my funds to clear and moving everything here. webull e trade and moomoo here is where it's at
