I just want to preface this post by saying, this is why we are doing this. if you cant afford to hold on to stock don’t. However I am doing this strictly on principle.
I make less than 40k a year and ive put 2k into AMC for this purpose. I’ve gained a lot of interest in trading now, and have learned so much so far.
Please read this article below. I don’t want to crush these people becuase they’re rich. They handle portfolios for everyday people as well as some of the elite. I hope we have brought enough attention to some of the shady practices they were engaged, and new regulations come to be. Although im pessimistic that will occur, atleast we can now collectively support companies they’re trying to short into bankruptcy to make a buck.
Had we not supported AMC, they would have gone banrupt. They were a decent company with bright prospects despite being hit hard by the pandemic. They may still fail, but we have given them a chance. Be proud of this. The stock may still raise. this is a stairing contest and Thursdays trading showed retail investors blinking more than they should. We have to stay strong. Don’t hold on to stock if you have mouths to feed and other financial obligations a if you can hold it, hold it long term. AMC has some blockbusters coming out and with more vaccines like they new single dose one that just got sent to the FDA for approval, people will be at the theatres once again.
