$Northern Dynasty Minerals(NAK.US$ After almost 20 years of research and development they obtained the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) in July 2020. The project became political due to some tapes being released by fake investors. A new Colonel of the Army Cores of Engineers came in on the 11th hour in November to deny one of the final water permits to allow the exploration company to partner or sell to an actual mining company. The Record of Decision (ROD) deny by the ACoE was based on “contrary to public interest” vs based on science. The ROD has 3 issues. An acceptance, a denial and a ROD with conditions. The state of Alaska also appealed the denial on grounds of an unprecedented decision by the ACoE. Alaska is in debt and fishing alone isn’t going to save the state. Half of the state has no work for their citizens and most are practically destitute. The appeal will be accepted and the ROD with conditions will be issued.
