  • MT Trader : I've been trying to figure out the directness too. Some people have told me k should be using limit and other have said limit if touched or one of the others.

  • DeepFookingValue : So for MooMoo, I have not found a way to turn off stock lending so I do a limit sell on all of my Stonks for an insane price. One because I am holding them long term and I don't want them to be lent out for shorting. As for stop loss, I do not use it because I don't want to be raided by a stop loss raid. Any stock that I have money in I truly believe I. and I am in for what ever roller coaster there is. It's my money so I choose to risk it this way. I got some 💎 🧤. All the terms above you can google. Do your own DD and enjoy playing with your money. Hope you see many tendies! Best wishes.

  • MisterJ420 : I set sell orders at crazy prices as well lol. even on webull bc I dont trust the turning off loaning option. I have actually NEVER used a stop loss lol. I feel I'm not working with the level of money to warrant it, as I can hold forever.

  • MisterJ420 : now if I manage to find myself holding 25k and day trading, stop loss orders are a must i feel. I've paper traded and lost 80k in a matter of seconds without them.

  • treydongui MisterJ420 : ouch that's good to know man thanks for sharing

  • MisterJ420 treydongui : I would absolutely 100% suggest you paper trade, even while trading for real. it is a wonderful way to learn discipline on trading at higher values. it was and continues to open my eyes to new trends on stocks I am curious about. I try to paper trade a new stock for 30 days before jumping in.

  • treydongui DeepFookingValue : Good advice. I'm a "middle of the road" trader/investor with a few years  experience. I appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge and wisdom with the average person helping to level the playing field at least a little. You brought up a point I wanted to dive a bit deeper into. I think it's a great community convo topic so I will create the comment with the question immediately after this message. It's concerning your comments about using a limit order and setting your PT at a high level. Also, elaborate more on the statement "you don't want your stocks to be lent out" (to be shorted and used against you I assume.

Anyway, I will create the post. I think it will help many of the novice/mediocre investors understand what you're saying and MOST IMPORTANTLY how the stock market/brokers work behind the scenes. ever since I began educating myself on the stock markets I've been greatly surprised that one of the most helpful and useful subjects has been Market manipulation and how they implement their various dirty tricks. I think this is a concept that you would want to get behind since it's the topic that gave you mainstream exposure, right.[undefined] with that said I think it conveys how important education on Market manipulation tactics is every bit as important as Technical and Fundamental education in the market
