Has anyone think about adding more shares is needed for the acquisition
$AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$
1. this just comes to my mind that if someone is buying 50% of amc, this 500M is right for them, otherwise there is no need to add so many shares when amc has enough money
2. if the deal dies, this 500M shares will be authorized but not issued which has been explained in the file, i circled this statement below.
to me, this seems to be quite possiible since we got rumor says amazon is gonna to buy amc before.

Tbiggs Doc___ : 50 million a day until it hits 500 mill total. Starting after the 19th if it goes thru. But ilovecat makes a good point could be in a private deal for a buyer possibly. I don’t know still processing and thinking about this whole thing. But i think our last chance is the 10th/11th. If they start adding these shares it’s not good at all.
ILoveCat OP Doc___ : In proposal 1 it says 500M which is almost 50% of currently shares, that’s the reason I think they are preparing the shares for the acquisition

pennypincher : the point of adding shares is to dilute the price and cause massive selloff because amazon does not want to pay the shareholders on top of acquiring AMC. Jeff bezo is a smart man and one of his leadership principles is frugality. think of how much money he saves this way. I'll buy back in around 2 a share
ILoveCat OP pennypincher : The point of adding shares is to raise capital instead of lowering the stock price, Tesla added tons of shares and the stock price still went up. I don’t think amc’s CEO will intentionally drive down the price to let Amazon buy it for cheap, right now amc is recovering and no need to sell for cheap
