What we also have to understand is that there is a strong local opposition to this project and rightfully so. Having being located right next to Bristol bay and that being one of the most productive bodies of water around $Northern Dynasty Minerals (NAK.US)$ has to prove it can safely operate without compromising Bristol bay. There has been extensive study by wildlife biologists, infact they have produced close to 20,000 different standard reports about Bristol bay and how pepple beach could hurt it. They have a long road but if NAK can prove they can handle it and open it up they will shoot up like crazy.

I guess the point I was trying to make is 1. it would be beneficial for the economy longterm. 2. The study the article references is self published from what I can ascertain and does not appear to be peer reviewed from what I can tell. I'm here to enhance my retirement, so of course I want the mine to succeed, especially since we are near depletion of domestic silver reserves, and that many of the green ideas require rare earth minerals.

I like your viewpoint and it's the one I believe is the best of both worlds. this project in the long run will benefit green energy and a push to a carbon nuetural world. I have a large position in this as well but it's always good to see what is working against your investment to better understand the risk that could bring. I hope both parties find a middle ground that can benefit everyone and protect the environment.
