So there are 100M shares out there shorted at this 41% interest? Okay that would seem bad. However all they need to do is short to drop the market price by a penny a day and still come out ahead?

That’s one share daily, dear. Count 100M daily, how much is it? It should be $500K, also $0.5M daily, that’s not less, actually a lot. If short borrow rate keeps going up, then how much daily? If more and more person buy shares and set high sell limit, then less and less floating shares available to short, short borrow rate will go up absolutely and quickly until shorts couldn’t handle it and starts buying shares, at that time, stock price begins stonk up just like rocket, if most person really set $100 sell limit.

It’s hole, shorts dig deeper and deeper, I hold shares strong and set high sell limit. Since I feel SOS is undervalued, I don’t want shares I bought being borrowed to further short SOS.

You will see results in 3 months if shorts keep borrowing shares to further short stock, I guess. But if more and more person know SOS, starts buying and hold it, then you will see result very quickly

Yes agreed.. If we see a massive increase in volume the number of shares available will go down and we will get a squeeze. The only effect that the fee has is an incentive for short sellers to cover quickly. From what I see just because the fee goes up does not mean market price will increase. If we can get those available shares down from 850,000 to say... 2,000, yes I think a squeeze to rival GME. High fee will either cause shorts to cover and available shares go up, or they desperately short more (not likely) available shares go down and panic to cover causes squeeze... We need a lot more volume.

SteelPlague : I am confused... .42*5.0/365 = $.005/day/share. This really does not seem like a lot.

Kyra W : 42% is the interest fee? Is the mean that short should pay 500W interest to who borrowed stock to them every day?
