Financewizard : KO has a market cap of $235B
COKE has a market cap of $3B
I use this logic when researching stocks: when 2 or more companies have similar descriptions and similar names in similar industries. I look at their market cap.
Based on the their market share, I would assume KO was the parent company and COKE is a derivative company that does a more specific function for tax or liability purposes.
—hope that helps.
still learning OP Financewizard : thank you so much for the explanation, well noted
TheRealJoker : I think KO might be Mexico. Haven't looked into it. myself.
102508971 : $Coca-Cola (KO.US)$ is the parent company while $Coca-Cola Consolidated (COKE.US)$ is the bottling company. This is part of Coca Cola’a business model of leveraging on their branding power to profit from other manufacturing companies using their brand name.
