Bilibili the Little Broken Site
Bilibili had a nickname "小破站 Little Broken (bankrupt) Site" for years because it was a small server for ACG and subculture based lovers, "broken" indicates both its small sometimes “exploded (down)” server at that time and the negative earnings every year.
Over the last couple of years, it received the other nickname "哔哩哔哩无限矿业公司 Bilibili Unlimited Mining Company" from Bilibiliers after it started to buy tons of movies, animes (think about Netflix+Crunchyroll), publish original series and animes, host many large-scale events like Bilibili Macro Link (and VR version), Bilibili NYE Gala (and Lunar NY Fiesta), Bilibili World, Bilibili Dancing Festival, etc.
It took Bilibili 10 yrs to build up the harmonious and continuously growing community and huge loyal user base by always caring about user experience, like you won't get any popup ads during the video, etc. The bonds and connection (resonance) among Bilibiliers are also extraordinary, I dare to say that until today you cannot find another platform like Bilibili, not even Youtube
