Tang Daosheng: Tencent won't make cars; it will support the industry in terms of software
On April 26, at the Guanghua School of Management of Peking University and Tencent's strategic cooperation press conference, Tang Daosheng, senior executive vice president of Tencent, shared Tencent's transformation practices and thoughts from TOC (for users) to B (for enterprises). He also mentioned Tencent's “inaction”. He said that Tencent's core ability was “connectivity,” so they didn't make mobile phones in the early years, and now they don't make automobiles, but they will support the industry in terms of software.
