TaMA_ChaN : Just to put into perspective, GME at small short squeeze was from $10 to $400 in 7 days. You can see why reaching $500 is realistic if you just do nothing. Literally do nothing.
David Frost OP : I think 500 is a serious lowball figure for both GME and AMC this time. I would be shocked if both weren't well over at least 1k.

Just this week, hedge funds paid $1 billion dollars (yes it us $1,000,000,000) just to hold on their short interest for GME,AMC and one more stock. Burning $1 billion a week is just not sustainable.

tophnoko GoldSeeker : I understand the confusion and will try to clarify. This isn't a matter of anyone wanting to buy at the prices this will soar to. HF's, the DTC, and the DTCC will be FORCED to buy. First, hedge funds will 1. Start buying back shares (small firms and those not wholly f-ed) kicking off the squeeze (for simplicity I'm not going into gamma & infinity squeezes followed by a short squeeze). Larger HF's will do the same until they're unable to afford. They'll soon be liquidated and the DTCC will step in and buy up all of the shares HF's have been shorting, both synthetic and real or 2. HF's won't cover their positions and will be margin called by their lenders, they will be liquidated and the DTCC will step in and buy up all of the shares HF's have been shorting, both synthetic and real.
This is what will push the price to insane levels. No one has to want to buy for hundreds of thousands. They will be forced to. The DTCC supposedly has 70 trillion that should be used when HF's die.

David Frost OP : Well said. The bottom line is, Really rich peeps have dug themselves into a hole they can't get out of and were aboit to be rich peeps. all you have to do is hold your shares until you're wealthy.
