To make sure im understanding it right
$AMC Entertainment(AMC.US$ I initially bought in around 8.50 and have "average up" since. Im in it for thenlong hall, currently at 120 stock, with my latest bundle of stocks coming in at 16 making my average stock price around 13. Given that im holding and putting more in over time (idk if its faith in the squeeze or just being a stubborn ape lol), averaging up is generally a good thing correct?
Additionally, im in a position where im not setting a sell limit and am in no real money problems so i feel like continuing to average up is okay (if i understand it correctly)

Nadman : yes, we are all averaging up the more we keep buying, but who cares, that what is supposed to happen when squeezing. averaging up for us means = we are gonna get paid HUGE in this scenario. getting more shares is all that's important. the more shares = much bigger profits

Caleb Utt sidewayz9 : There have been multiple scenarios broken down that will result from the squeeze and they're 100k and 500k. broad I know but there's a lot of details as to why. what's important is how.
super simple explanation. no one wants to buy an AMC share at $100k, but when the short sellers are margin called, they literally HAVE to. they have insurance for when hedges get murdered by these things. but at that point, the only shares available for them to buy back are the ones over 100k or 500k. the amount is related to the hole hedge funds have dug and retail investors taking advantage.
so the shares aren't technically valued at that much, but that's the price shorts will have to pay. and if you aren't familiar with margin calls, it's not optional. if those prices are posted at that time, that's what they pay
