Spain may force citizens to report on their cryptocurrency holdings

The Spanish parliament voted in favor of an anti-tax fraud law that would force Spanish citizens to report information about their cryptocurrency holdings and operations. The government says that further controls on cryptocurrencies are necessary given their proliferation and popularity among investors. The bill has now received a majority vote in the Senate, but is still to be further approved.
