Do your research.

Something that my dad had adviced when I started investing. Being a beginner, it is easy to hear of the rumours that certain stock are going to the moon very soon. Always, always do your research on the company. Listen to others take and opinions on it and collate them to churn out your own perspective. Also, do not take loan or borrow money just to invest.
