My first trading rule The first trading rule: you must do your research before trading
When you trade, you always have to do your own research to understand the fundamentals of the company you're investing your hard-earned money into. It can be a stock of a company you like, or a company you personally trust. For example, if you use Apple products all the time, and you believe that the company is on the right path in terms of innovation and technology, then you can invest your money in that company. Don't always follow market trends. Also, never follow what your friends ask you to trade. Of course, you can always ask your friends and other traders for advice and discuss what stocks to trade. But at the end of the day, I always go back to my number one trading rule, which is to always do your own market research. Here's what I've learned and I'll pass this advice on to my kids...
