  • dinodavid4 : 3000$ really?..don't think value will increase that much in 2025..I think it's currently overvalued

  • 102355763 dinodavid4 : How u arrive at your valuation of Tesla huh?

  • Ryan123 : selling in 2030

  • 102601499 OP : do your research and u will know why. :)
just their FSD is ahead of waymo and other competitors by easily 2 to 3 years. and FSD is only 1 of the many revenue stream. they are not just a EV car company. they are tech company that is innovative.
    pls do your research.

  • dinodavid4 : I agree that Tesla is not just ev and technically strong.but in my understanding many startups  in the market have already proven with level 5 autonomous driving. It's just a matter of time that many legendary OEMs acquiring their technology and building or rather improving their driving capabilities in their vehicles. so eventually the stock prices will become mature and will not be volatile as of today..can you describe your research please ?

  • 102601499 OP : none of the companies are using Full Vision self driving. they are relying on Lidar and High definition maps.

the way Waymo self driving work is they have to move from area to area because they need to map out the area to create a full definition map. and if there is any update to the road or street, they need to revise their map. and they only can work in perfect driving condition. they have a backup human driver who will take over the wheels if something went wrong. and lidar is expensive and not reliable. if you search for Tesla latest update on FSD, they explain how Full Vision is so much better than Lidar

for Full Vision to work, they need extensive video data. since 2014, the cars they sold have been collecting driving data in shadow mode. these data are stored in their neurolink run by a super computer. throughout the years, they have been training this AI to recognise different kind of weird driving conditions.

so.... if uber or grab wants to get rid of their drivers and start making profit, will they use Tesla Full Vision FSD that just need 8 cameras attached to their car, or should they be buying Lidar and create full definition maps? the last i check Lidar is still very very expensive even if they go into mass production.

Lidar has the problem of scale. Full Vision can scale.

of course, if Full Vision fails, then maybe 3000 is too far fetch. but so far, zero accidents using Full Vision.

  • dinodavid4 102601499 OP : computer vision and ai is in the research line from many years..it's just that Tesla adopted it quickly and since it is popular it's known to public widely. frankly speaking lot of research from scientists have already proven earlier but just that it's in paper and on experimental basis and not popular as they are not widely known like Tesla..
many firms startups etc are also working on fsd without lidar..

  • 102601499 OP dinodavid4 : so if you are Uber or Grab (read that Uber is making loss), would you go for Tesla FSD or try out the other FSD that has lesser track record?  do you think these start up or scientists can catch up Tesla and beat them in market?

  • dinodavid4 102601499 OP : Basically all the research from scientists will be known worldwide mostly when Industry adopts it..I am sure all these research's is funded by many automotive firms. I feel it's matter of time for the companies to adopt this technology into market.
do you really think that only Tesla can adopt to fsd for the share to shoot up to 3000$ and no other scientists or automotive companies can reach up to the point ? Eventually when  all automotive firms adopts fsd then what's  the point to keep the stock so high..haha..
yes I agree for now the stock is high because of the hype in the technology but in my perspective it will saturate.. anyway this is just my opinion..
Also I think there are many great scientists and automotive firms who are not working in Tesla with great ideas to compete with them..

  • 102601499 OP dinodavid4 : u do have a point. and no one can predict the future. its all assumptions at the moment. for me, i dun think Tesla is the type of company that will stop innovate. they are always thinking ahead while others are busy playing catch up.

only time will tell. and as mentioned, FSD is not the only potential revenue stream it has at the moment.
