Living in a RED state - Not a Green or Blue State sucks
I love my home state of Nebrask… in fact, it gave birth to the Omaha Oracle Warren Buffet, but it also gave birth to the owners of the Chicago Cubs and TDAmetrade founder Ricketts.
Amongst all, Pete Ricketts; son of the founding father of Ameritrade (Online trading platform that changed retail trading so anyone could buy or sell stocks online rather than through a broker) is EXTREMELY against Marijuana at all costs and in any shape, form, or fascet.
Gov. Pete Ricketts (Republican) has 2 more years in office and believes that marijuana has no medicinal (or any properties to it other than to get “high” as it is classified federally - as a schedule I narcotic. This meaning, the FDA studies the drug and classified it as having the sane potential for abuse as heroine, methamphamines, Crack Cocaine, PCP, LSD, and is a highly dangerous drug.
The FACT is he spent tax payers money to have it removed from the ballot (citizens of the state petitioned for it to be on the ballot to decriminalize and lift the harsh penalties; petitioned for it to be legal for purposes only for medicinal use with a prescribing doctor or licensed practitioner who has had at least 6-8 years of school practicing medicine and the human body).
Pete Ricketts, along with tax payers lawyers, were able to remove Marijuana from the voting ballot stating that there were more high school children addicted to the dangerous drug than opiates and had become an epidemic and the largest threat to the health of our society and well-being (apparently he somehow “knows more” than M.D.’s or D.O.’s whom had petitioned and signed for marijuana to be legalized in the state of Nebraska for medical purposes only..not even recreational!)
The fact that our political system has such power over its citizens is criminal and I may have to seek refuge after posting this due to legal concerns and Nebraska’s disregard to constitional rights and God’s given right a man to breathe air.
I believe it is a hoax, none the less a crime for one person to have such power to destroy peoples lives. Another fact, I lives in Arizona for years prior to moving back to Nebraska.
In Arizona, I was able to smoke or intake THC from the Marijuana Plant to aid my extremely painful nerve damage caused by a drunk driver in 2014. I was prescribed opiates for long term care along and marijuana was able to walk again (including physical therapy and an amazing team of doctors).
As soon as I returned to Nebraska, marijuana caused such a disruption in my life due to politicians such as Pete Ricketts that I am no longer able to be prescribed my chronic pain medications and thus terminating my thus far successful recovery to a happy life. Within a mere flash of my eyes, I have been to the E.R. from what feels like shards of glass in my body.
I am unable to live a life that had once been given back to me by doctors and all due to (we will call him doc Kevorkian Ricketts) and his harsh rules against marijuana.
The main reason for my post is to state, that regardless of the federal laws, constitution, or any other well written document that gives mankind the right to live happily. Some things wont change
