China central bank issues white paper on research development of digital yuan, and says that China will steadily push forward digital yuan pilot, but will not set timetable for digital yuan roll out. China also says that research on digital yuan's impact on monetary policy, financial system and financial stability will also be deepen.
PBOC also says that digital yuan is mainly used for domestic retail payment now and digital yuan transactions totaled 34.5 billion yuan in trials.
