Morning Briefing: Watch these FAANG stocks and Tesla into earnings this week

Stock futures slipped after the major averages finished the previous session at record closing highs and ahead of a busy week of earnings reports from technology's heaviest hitters.

$Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ futures declined 266 points. $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ and $NASDAQ 100 Index (.NDX.US)$ futures also both traded in negative territory.

Those losses came as shares in Hong Kong suffered heavy losses during the Asia trading session on Monday, with the $Hang Seng Index (800000.HK)$ in the city plummeting 4%.

$Bitcoin (BTC.CC)$ traded 10.77% higher at $38,274.73 at 5:30 AM EDT. Over a week, the apex coin has risen around 2%.

$Ethereum (ETH.CC)$ traded 8.44% higher at $2,342.99 at 5:30 AM EDT. Over a seven-day trailing period, ETH traded about 6% higher.

$Dogecoin (DOGE.CC)$ was up 13.18% at $0.22 at 5:30 AM EDT.
