$TENCENT(00700.HK$ This is another classic example. Many newbies fear to buy yesterday but pro investors and smart money bought Tencent at a discount. I have been in the markets since '07. Morons back then behaved the same way as today. Many did not trade anymore but I am still making returns year in year out since 07.

BB Cafe Live OP : No one can time the market. When you meet solid companies getting into a temporary huge discount, buy on dips. Average down. Time in market beats timing the market. This recent Tencent shareprice dips allow me to load up this company shares on a discount. I always said: "Investing is the only place where people run from a sale instead of buying more"

Good Company CEO and Management3, Competive advantage in their industry (Eg, Not much competitors that are strong enough to overtake them)4. Business Scalability (They can innovate and expand exisiting core business)5. Time in market beats timing the market. (Buy on dips. Average down. Never go all in right away.).
