[Spotlight]pcwSg beats 27,000 competitors to clinch the winner

In an effort to promote the understanding of future contracts and strategies for trading, moomoo held the first US Stock Paper Trading Competition ("The Competition") during July this year.
The Competition concluded successfully and was well received with more than 27,000 users joining the challenge. Each participant received a virtual participation fund of USD 200,000 to test their investment strategies, amongst which half of the participants successfully made a virtual profit, with some achieving total P/L of 128.97%.

Top 1 winners of The Championship received the cash coupon of SGD 8888, and he was invited to the sharing sessions on “moomoo Community”, paving the way towards moomoo futures stars.
We intervieweed @pcwSg, and he shared some insight with about investing with us.

Q1: Why did you decide to join Season 1 of our US Paper TradingCompetition?

A1: Mainly for the attractive prizes, also for the chance to learn about how others trade.![]()
Q2: You ranked #1 in US Paper Trading Competition Season 1 with a total P/L of 128.97%,. What were some of your favorite moments from participating in this competition?

A2: Favorite moments would be the mistakes made. Making mistakes and learning from them was much more interesting than simply trading.

Q3: What do you think were the big moves that contributed to your win?

A3: Changing the main strategy to scalping contributed the most.

A4: This competition is a good learning opportunity, not risking real money while winning prizes along the way is a big plus.

A5: Warren Buffet, Charlie Munger, George Soros and Jim Rogers.

Q6: What are some tips you want to share to those who are keen to join Season 2 of our US Paper Trading Competition?

A6: The competition has zero risks and some probability of profit, the best time to start was yesterday, the next best time is now.

Q7: How long have you been trading in the real market?

A7: Around 1 year. Started 3rd quarter of last year.

Q8: What is your strategy when it comes to selecting stocks?（such as Sector Preference, Fundamental Analysis etc.）

A8: Daily price action. As long as a stock is volatile enough, sector and long term analysis is not as important for intra-day strategies.

Q9: Do you have any advice for beginners who have just starting trading?

A9: Trade smaller and risk smaller. Getting experience is more important than gains at the start.

A10: Online ads supported by word of mouth. moomoo is dishing out tons of promotions recently and that is very good, only advice would be to keep up the good work and continue making investing engaging and fun.
