STD0313 : So this is something I hadn't considered. Blackrock currently manages 6 trillion in assets/cash/bonds whatever else. That is 1/4 of the World Economy.........believe me I am not the one with the answer to this. But the real motivation for buying can never be known. I do know this, short term market crash would cost Blackrock more money then if all of the supposed "long positions" paid out big.........or maybe they are the one Investment Behemoth that can the "long" play.......but I but their investors won't. Just my thoughts......
