What happens if Amazon takes over AMC?

Well specially us apes that might be holding to synthetic shares? If as reported that Amazon buys up all the shares AMC hold, what happens to our synthetic shares. I'm assuming what we are buying are synthetic and no one is releasing real shares. Can we sell still? Who's going to buy? I can't wrap my head around this. Any well informed Ape able to clear this? I'm still hoping for my 100k a share. Please don't take it from me! lol 🤣

2. would need majority shareholder approval to sell, which is very unlikely cos retail owns 80% and we all want the squeeze.
3. they buy, they will have to make sure all the float is accounted for first, which will set off the squeeze.
don't listen too much, there's a decent theory that it's just fake BS to justify an impending price run (ohhh Amazon is buying AMC) and price crash (ohhh Amazon came out to say it's fake news).
either way it's good news for AMC holders because it means a likely big price action coming soon
GOOBERHAG : This is an old rumor that resurged and new apes don't know. The synthetic shares are treated the SAME as real ones. They ALL need to be bought back. This kinda activity of making synthetic shares only hurts the ones making them and those who have to buy them BACK.

pennypincher : amazon just bought MGM they have no interest in AMC. there are movie theater chains on the verge of bankruptcy or have already filed and closed if they wanted to buy a chain. AMC is currently buying theaters I dont think they are interested in selling
