you may not need diamond hands to buy and hold Chinese stocks but you'll definitely need a solid bunch of nerves to ride out these near term dips. stop loss strategies may cause u much more losses in the near term as the market and government continues their rout on the stocks. but imo if you're investing long term, with the nerves to ride out the dips (even capitalising on them with liquidity) you'll come out on top.

Having said that, don't think anyone predicted the epic downfall of the private tuition industry in China, but that is nothing compared to the aims of the ccp in trying to achieve technological supremacy in today's tech race.
