Y5VR is tradeable, which customers can buy/ sell in the market during trading period (31/8 – 8/9). Rights purchase from market will subject to commissions/ fees.
Customers who entitled the rights can sell to the market if they do not wish to exercise the rights. In the other hand, customer who are not entitled for the rights can buy from the market.
Please be reminded that rights will lapse with no value if they are not exercised or sold.

abiremo2006 OP : if you are alloted or given or offered 5000 rights to allow you to buy S51 new stocks for 0.80 cents as you are an existing stock holder, u can sell them if you are not intended to buy anymore new stocks of S51 (Sembcorp Marine) where they are going to release more stocks in the market to rise money after 8th September, which will eventually reduce the existing stock value of .85 cents as of today (just a prediction). so not much of a difference where you have to buy their stocks with rights for 5000 stocks or you buy directly from the open market which is also around .085 cents(just my opinion) which may drop down even more after 8th of September as they are going to release or open more number of their $S51 stocks in the market which technically creates more supply of the stock eventually drops down it's price below 0.8 cents. so what I have done is sold my rights and made some money out the given or alloted number of rights and eventually if I need more stocks of S51 I will use that money to buy direct from the open market after 8th September if the price drops. if it doesn't am happy also with my existing stock.
