  • c_mk : A green candlestick means that the opening price on that day was lower than the closing price that day (i.e. the price moved up during the day); a red candlestick means that the opening price was higher than the closing price that day (i.e. the price moved down during the day).

  • SYY1019 OP c_mk : Hi, thanks for your reply.
On your opinion, any exception for red to green or green to red candlestick as stated?

  • c_mk : Think it is correct. Based on opening and closing. The enclosed is the chart from Yahoo finance

  • SYY1019 OP c_mk : Appreciated for your reply. Have a nice day =)

  • SYY1019 OP c_mk : Heyy, I guess I found answer for my question. Yes, the candlestick above is red as closing lower than opening like you said.

But for the bottom candlestick is green. Because the closing of that day is higher than previous closing.

Now I know the differences =)
