Streaming disruption and potential decline

Many are willing to pay for streaming services due to cheap (relatively) and huge library of on-demand content that is convenient and easy to use. No longer does customers need to subscribe to locked in, inferior and pricey telco plans with limited content (with additional content locked behind paywalls) or jump through numerous hoops to pirate them.

However, with the rise of streaming, the industry is getting more saturated, expensive and fragmented, almost like telco's box services without the box...piracy may stage a comeback...
