Musk: Data security is key to the success of smart connected cars

Musk said autonomous driving could be done entirely through the visual spirit network. Tesla is more than just a car company. It is developing fully autonomous vehicles that are both practical and based on pure vision technology, and has developed chips specifically for neural network reasoning and training. Mr Musk said data security was key to the success of connected cars and tesla would be happy to see laws in place. Tesla has set up data centers in China to store all the data generated by its Chinese operations, including production, sales, service and charging data. Musk said Tesla will continue to increase investment and research and development efforts in China.
