Musk: Tesla (TSLA.US) Berlin factory's first batch of new cars or will be available next month

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said at the new Berlin plant last Saturday that the first cars produced at the new Berlin plant of Tesla (TSLA.US) will roll off the assembly line as early as next month, but he added that Mass production will take longer to achieve.
"I am very happy that the new factory has finally started production, but mass production is the most difficult part. The time required to achieve mass production will be longer than the time required to build the factory." Musk said at the event of the new factory in Berlin.
Musk said that mass production will reach 5,000 or 10,000 a day, and the battery will be mass-produced by the end of next year.
Musk hopes that the plant will be approved in the next few weeks. It is understood that the public opinion survey on the factory will end on the 14th, and the German environmental department will make a decision after that.

The Minister of Economy of Brandenburg stated that the probability of the plant being approved for operation is as high as 95%.

In addition, Tesla has submitted plans to invest 5 billion euros (approximately US$5.8 billion) to build a battery plant with a capacity of 50 GWh, which is larger than Volkswagen’s planned plant with a capacity of 40 GWh in Salzgitter. .

At the same time, Musk also said that Tesla is worried that the number of employees will become a problem, and called on people across Europe to apply for related positions. He hoped that the Berlin factory could produce electric trucks for Tesla in the future, and added that he hoped that the factory's employees would come from all over Europe.
