Luck is preparation meets opportunity

There's no luck  without preparation or without putting in effort in making  investmet decision, Period.  Short term luck will prevail. Long term luck will simply be relegated to non-existent. I believe investing based on luck alone will not contribute to your wealth accumulation but rather put you in a  position dictate by the market forces not in your control.
