According to Nikkei News, Apple has contacted JD.com for the development of high-end iPhone 13 displays.
Insiders said that JD.com Technology started supplying a small number of OLED displays for the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 at the end of September, and plans to increase shipments soon. The final qualification review process will focus on the durability of the screen, and is expected to end this month. The report stated that JD.com will share 20% of the total orders for iPhone 13 displays with Samsung Display.
Nikkei Asia: Apple has added BOE Technology from China to its list of premium display suppliers for the latest iPhone, which gives a big boost to Beijing's tech ambitions and puts pressure on existing suppliers like Samsung.
